Coordinator's Report
September 2008
Well as another season begins there are a number of exciting developments to report already.
 
New projects
 
Two new table tennis clubs have entered the league this season. These are Easterhouse TTC and Castlemilk Eagles TTC. Development plans for both clubs have been drawn up and W.O.S.T.T.L. and Culture and Sport Glasgow are working together in order to get these clubs up and running.
 
I hope that all clubs will welcome these new teams into our league.
 
Junior League 2008-2009
 
The West of Scotland Junior League continues to expand with numbers still on the increase. With this in mind it was decided to split the Junior League. Divisions 1-3 will be played at Holyrood Sports Centre, and Divisions 4 & 5, with a possibility of a 6th Division will take place at Drumchapel High School. The dates at Drumchapel will be for players under the age of 13 and will incorporate the primary schools teams wishing to take part in competitive play.

Regional Trials
 
The date for the West of Scotland Regional Trials has now been changed. This will take place on Saturday 11th October 2008 at Drumchapel High School. The trials will involve players in the under 10, under 13 and under 15 age category.
 
Schools Development
 
Schools development continues to grow from strength to strength. The Glasgow West programme has the following programme that started at the beginning of September
 
In 2008/2009, with the inclusion of primary schools in the Yoker/ Knightswood area of Glasgow, the programme now consists of 12 Primary Schools and 1 High School.

Introduction to Table Tennis Coaching Course
The date for the Introduction to Table Tennis Course, in conjunction with Culture and Sport Glasgow will be held on 8th November 2008(Date to be confirmed). Anyone wishing to book onto the course please get in touch with myself, further details will appear on the WoSTTL website.
