Commonwealth Championships
The Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships held in Glasgow were one of the best ever and that’s official.
Alan Ransome, Chairman of the Commonwealth Table Tennis Federation, described the Championships in Glasgow as the best organised and offering the best facilities in the forty year history of the event
The English Table Tennis website reported the success of the Championships by posing a question:
The biggest question, however, is with such a superb event here in Glasgow, run and presented to almost Commonwealth Games standard, how can another host city match that? It will be tough!!
Culture and Sport Glasgow and Table Tennis Scotland must take a lot of the credit for the success of these championships and this week TTS sent a letter to WoSTTL thanking all members who volunteered. They acknowledged the significant contribution that all WoSTTL members made to the success of the event. Bring on 2014!
