Not satisfied with picking up a silver medal in the consolation doubles at the recent European Vets Championships, Johnny Campbell has won another medal but this time on a different continent and a different colour – Gold at the Florida State Senior Championships.

Of course, winning titles and medals is nothing new for Johnny and if you care to check out our recently updated archive of West Open winners you can see he picked up the Junior Boy’s title in 1951-52 and the Men’s Doubles in 1956-57. That phrase of old dogs and keeping them down comes to mind?
