The 2018 West of Scotland Open took place at Drumchapel High School and as usual provided plenty of drama and excitement.

In the Men’s Singles Craig Howieson and Colin Dalgleish fought their way to the final with Craig adding yet another title to his CV. Well done Craig.

In the Ladies Singles, number one seed Beth Roberts, from Wales, reached the final against second seed Rebecca Plaistow. Rebecca then reversed the seeding, securing the title 11-9 in the 5th set. Great effort Rebecca.

Reunion at the West

Great to see Eddie Still (Scottish Champion 1954) award the prizes at the tournament. He also enjoyed a major catch up with fellow Scottish Internationalists Richard Yule and Peter Cameron. Peter tells me it was two and bit legends in the one photo. You can make up your own mind:
