The Line Up
The Premier League is gone but long live Divisions 1, 2 and 3.
Knightswood A and South Ayrshire A look to be the front runners again in Division 1 with Nomads A likely to have a say in the outcome of the title. Also, the two Drumchapel teams could utilise the services of some of their ex-Premier players which would immediately place them into the in contention category. With nine teams in each division this will lead to a few free weeks so there should be no problem with completing fixtures on time this season.

Division 2 is made up of teams from last year’s Division 1 and Division 2. Nomads B, Glasgow South A (formerly Holyrood) and Knightswood B will all field strong squads and I’m sure the former Division 1 teams – Mearns and Garnethill will also be competing for top places.

Division 3 is difficult to call. The all junior teams of North Ayrshire and Drumchapel C will both win matches but may struggle to maintain the consistency required to be there at the end. Glasgow South B and possibly Holy Cross High School both look to be strong contenders but it is very open. It is very difficult to predict how the new teams - East Kilbride, Glasgow South C and South Ayrshire C - will fair but the League wishes them and all teams a rewarding and successful season.
