Match Secretary Report                   >> Roll of Honour Gallery

Division 1 was dominated by Knightswood A; they displayed quality and consistency throughout the season. Glasgow South A put up a good fight with strong additions to their team. The rest of the division had many close matches during the season with evenly balanced teams.
Division 2 provided a repeat performance of last season’s high standard of play, right through from the top of the division to the bottom. It generated an excellent standard, with very competitive games. Knightswood D won through with Brunswick A putting up a great effort throughout the season. Just as close was the battle to beat relegation between North Ayrshire B and Kilwinning B going to the very last week of the season.
Division 3 has still to be decided with matches between Drumchapel C and North Ayrshire C remaining. These will be played this week. Once again, the standard of play in this division is improving each week with the young players gaining valuable experience against the older veteran players.
The Cup competitions went well with a good range of clubs getting through to and winning the finals.
Thanks very much to everyone for their efforts in playing their cup fixtures on time throughout the season. This was much appreciated.
Thanks too for all for the help and support whilst I’ve been Match Secretary. Unfortunately, due to work circumstances I am unable to carry on working for the committee. I wish my successor all the best for next season.
