This photo was taken on a junior trip to Luxembourg prior to the European Youths in Ostend in 1971. The Scottish team were: John McNee third from the left, Robert centre of photo, Lesley Montague and Elaine Forbes third and second from the end on the right, Robert Thompson from Aberdeen (standing to Elaine’s left) and Nicky Smith from Central area (crouching at front).
Lesley very tragically died at the end of last year (2010). She became an expert fishing guide, instructor and author and on several occasions was technical adviser at the World Fly Fishing Championships you will find more information about Lesley here.
