This picture was taken at the Stockholm World Championships, in which the Scottish Men's team came 27 out of 41 and the Women's team came 25 out of 28.

Malcolm Sugden had a very impressive record of 15 wins out of 19 and one of these was a loss to Kjell Johansson of Sweden (quite a good player!) 

Robert described Malcolm's performance in a report to the STTA with the following: 

Sugden is an outsatnding number one, losing only four matches. I had the impression that he would not have lost three of these games had there been less pressure on him.
