Can YOU help the League keep functioning effectively?
Due to pressure of other commitments, Phil McCallum, the League's temporary Treasurer, has indicated that he can no longer carry out this role.
If you feel at all comfortable handling figures and have some time to spare, please contact Liam Hughes - openlh@ntlworld.com and volunteer your services. As you can imagine, the Treasurer is a vital element in the running of the League and it is crucial that this position is filled as soon as possible.
The Treasurer is a member of the Executive Committee and, ideally, attends its meetings which take place approximately five times per season. However, if this presents a problem, it is possible to arrange attendance on a more limited basis. The position is a voluntary one although, it is customary for the membership to vote an Honorarium to its Treasurer at the Annual General Meeting. (£100 awarded last year).
In addition, the League is also looking for a Tournament Secretary. This post does not receive an Honorarium. Again, please contact Liam Hughes to express an interest in this role.
