Junior League Returns
It was a different time and day from last season but the West’s Junior League rolled into town in fine shape and got off to an excellent start on Sunday 24 October at Holyrood Sports Centre (earlier start at 11:00am). 23 teams, 69 players – the statistics speak for themselves, it’s a successful and popular event and long may it continue.

Junior League Tables
Division 1
North Ayrshire is setting the pace in Division 1 recording two wins, including a 3-2 victory over second placed Drumchapel A. Drumchapel A and East Kilbride A share second spot on seven points and  Drumchapel B are in fourth, a further two points adrift.
Division 2
Drumchapel A was in impressive form with a brace of 5-0 wins against 44th BB and North Ayrshire. They already look the team to beat. East Kilbride is in second place with two solid wins and newcomers Garnock are third, with six points. Drumchapel B, Knightswood and Holyrood are not out of it yet but will have to get back to the practice table if they want to improve their points total at the next league meeting in November.
Division 3
It’s all much closer in Division 3. Holyrood looked impressive in their two 5-0 wins but Knightswood are well placed in second spot on 9 points, followed by newcomers Stewarton on seven. East Kilbride, Garnock and Helensbrough will be looking for an improved performance in the next set of fixtures to lift themselves away from the wrong half of the division. Get working on these multi-ball routines and practice these serves!
