Can YOU help the League keep functioning effectively?
Due to pressure of other work, James Weatherston, the League's Treasurer, has had to relinquish his position at short notice.
Temporary arrangements are being made to cope with the activity surrounding team registration and fees payment but the League urgently requires a member willing to take on the role of Treasurer for at least the current season.
If you feel at all comfortable handling figures and have some time to spare, please contact any member of the Executive Committee and volunteer your services. As you can imagine, the Treasurer is a vital element in the running of the League and it is crucial that this position is filled as soon as possible.
The Treasurer is a member of the Executive Committee and, ideally, attends its meetings which take place approximately five times per season. However, if this presents a problem, it is possible to arrange attendance on a more limited basis. The position is a voluntary one although, it is customary for the membership to vote an Honorarium to its Treasurer at the Annual General Meeting. (£100 awarded last year).
