Level 2 Coaching Opportunity

Table Tennis Scotland is delighted to announce that it will be delivering a Level 2 UKCC (United Kingdom Certificate in Coaching) Table Tennis course in May and June 2013. The delivery of this course is part of the continued development of the sport, and the growth of UKCC qualified coaches forms a hugely important factor in the long term success of Table Tennis.

The course is for UKCC Level 1 coaches keen to coach Intermediates and to progress their development in coaching. Furthermore Table Tennis Scotland is committed to support and encourage coaches to develop and progress in-line with the national and regional stages of the organisations Performance Development plan.

Course Details:
  • Course Duration: 4 days
  • Course location: Glasgow
  • Course Dates: Saturday 18th May, Sunday 19th May 2013, Saturday 15th June & Sunday 16th June 2013
  • Courses cost: £300. Cheques should be made payable to Table Tennis Scotland.
(Up to 50% SportScotland funding may be available, so please contact the Table Tennis Scotland office before submitting your application should you wish to take advantage of this funding. Other local and regional funding support may also be available.)
  • Course Content: Technical-Forehand drives/direction/different returns & serves/footwork/lobs & smashes. Analytical knowledge of techniques and match play using up-to-date technology;
  • Coaching Commitment  2 x 20 minute sessions to a group/individual/6 x 20 minute session in local club.
A maximum of 12 participants will be accepted on the course, so don't miss out and complete your application ASAP.

NB: Clubs are welcome to put as many members forward as they wish. However, if the courses are oversubscribed, only one person/club is guaranteed entry on each course.
