MSP visits South Ayrshire TTC
Ayr MSP John Scott made a special visit to SATTC on the evening of 27th January.
He was there to show his support for Table Tennis Scotland’s protest at the recent announcement by Sportscotland that they are to cut funding to the sport by 82%.
Mr Scott has questioned Sportscotland’s position by reminding them of their statement in June 2009, where they said that they were, “supporting the sport at all levels, encouraging increased participation and ensuring that the athletes have the support they need to deliver when the Commonwealth Games comes to Glasgow in2014.” He is currently awaiting a response from the Chief Executive of Sportscotland, Stewart Harris.
