The West’s Junior League got off to an excellent start on Saturday (31 October) at Holyrood Sports Centre. 24 teams, 72 players, coaches, family and friends all enjoyed the afternoon’s play. A number of coaches and older players remarked on the improved standard, skill and technique in all three Divisions. A number of the players are now playing in the West’s senior league and their impressive level of play is now beginning to reflect this.

Junior League Tables

Division 1                                                                                           
Holyrood A is setting the pace in this division recording a brace of  5-0 victories. They recorded wins over Drumchapel's all girl B team and then Holyrood B. Close on their heels come Drumchapel A who recorded a closely contested 3-2 victory over 44^th BB and then a more comfortable 5-0 win over North Ayrshire. Four teams the 44^th BB, North Ayrshire A and B and East Kilbride A are all on five points.

Division 2

East Kilbride B and A were both in impressive form and fill the top two spots on 9 and 8 points respectively. Knightswood and Drumchapel are next on 7 points each. North Ayrshire are on their own on 5 points and 44^th BB, Holyrood and South Ayrshire will need to get back to the practice table if they want to improve their points total at the next league meeting, in just under two weeks.
