Premier League - Week 4
After some quick rescheduling, week 4 of the Premier League produced three fixtures.

First up were Holyrood against last year’s champions Drumchapel B. Drumchapel BDavie Thomas got Holyrood off to a bright start with an exciting 3-1 win against Drumchapel’s in form Sean Doherty (9, -11, 9, 11). Daniel Swiatek then replied for Drumchapel with a controlled performance against Sinclair Houston (9, 11, 9). The doubles developed into a five end rollercoaster with Gordon Clancey making a welcome return for Holyrood and teaming up with Davie. Sean and Daniel however, scored a great victory, 13-11 in the fifth which seemed to spur them on to win the next two singles and securing four points.

Callum Gerrard - GreenockGreenock stalwarts, Malcolm Hutton and Callum Gerrard came up against Tam Lawlor and Gerry Keenan for Drumchapel Vets. In the first match, Callum was in impressive form against Gerry and wasted no time in securing Greenock’s first point in the match. Malky won the first end against Tam who then came back strongly winning three closely contested games on the trot. Match score 1-1. In the doubles there was no stopping Greenock and in the next singles Callum maintained his form against Tam, winning in three ends. Malky gave Greenock a 4-1 win but not without Gerry putting up a great fight losing out in the fifth end.

Corinna Whitaker - Drumchapel CThe rescheduled match was between the Glasgow Students and Drumchapel C. Paul Marshall opened for the Students against Corinna Whitaker and proved to be too strong winning 3-1. Gordon Muir, making his league debut for the GSC, faced Natasha Milliken but had no answer to her strong topspin attack. Match score 1-1. Corinna and Natasha then produced a solid win in the doubles but parity was restored by Paul, with a 3-0 win against Natasha. Corinna then secured a first league victory for Drum C, with a 3-0 winning margin over Gordon.
