Junior League - Day 3
A return to competition in the New Year found many of the teams challenging for play-off places and competition was, as ever, fierce but friendly.

Drumchapel A assured themselves a play-off place with a resounding 5-0 win against their B Team.  Drumchapel B had earlier recorded a similar score against Holyrood D. Drum A will face either Drum B or Holyrood A in the league decider.  These two teams face each other in the final fixture and whichever team wins will progress to the final confrontation with Drum A.

Drumchapel and North Ayrshire 2 are favourites for the play-offs but if East Kilbride 2 scores a clear victory over East Kilbride 1, in their final match, they are still in with a chance of progressing to the closing match; still plenty to play for.

North Ayrshire are clear leaders in this division and will face either East Kilbride B or A in the final match. Mathematically, South Ayrshire still have a chance of making the play-off but looking at the remaining fixture’s the clever money is on East Kilbride A to make it to the final.

East Kilbride and Knightswood A cannot be caught and have both qualified for the play-off final. They played each other on day 1 of Junior League competition, resulting in an impressive 4-1 win for East Kilbride. It will be interesting to see if East Kilbride retain their unbeaten record or have Knightswood improved in the intervening months?

Final fixtures take place on 15 March at Holyrood immediately followed by the Division play- offs
